The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the admit card for CTET February 2026. Candidates who applied for Paper 1 or Paper 2 can now download their hall ticket from the official website. The exam is scheduled for 7 and 8 February 2026 and will be held offline across many centres in the country.
CTET is the key exam for anyone who wants to become a teacher in government schools for classes 1 to 8. This time more than 25 lakh candidates have registered, so it is better to download your admit card early and avoid any last-minute tension. Why Your Admit Card Matters So Much
The hall ticket is your entry pass to the exam hall. Without a printed copy, you will not be allowed inside, even if you have registered. Exam Dates and Shift Timings for CTET February 2026
The exam is spread over two days because of the huge number of candidates. It will be in offline OMR mode in around 140 cities.

Carefully check your CTET admit card for your exact exam date and timing. Arrive at the centre well in advance. Entry after the start time will not be permitted. No requests for changes to city, centre, or date will be accepted.

Reach the centre at least 90 minutes early. Gates close at 9:30 AM for the morning shift and 2:30 PM for the evening shift. No one is allowed in after that.
How to Download Your CTET Hall Ticket 2026
It is very simple. Just follow these steps:
- Open your browser and go to the official CTET website.
- On the home page you will see a section called Latest News or Candidate Login. Look for the link that says “Download Admit Card CTET February 2026”.
- Click on that link. A login page will open.
- Enter these details carefully:
- Your Application Number
- Date of Birth (in DD-MM-YYYY format)
- The captcha code shown on the screen
- Click Submit.
- Your admit card will appear on the screen as a PDF.
- Check all details properly.
- Download the file and take a clear printout on A4 paper. Colour print is better for the photo, but black and white is also fine if everything is clear.
- Keep two-three extra copies safely.
Try downloading in the early morning or late night if the site is slow because many people will be downloading at the same time.
What Details You Must Check on the Admit Card
As soon as you download it, check these things:
- Your name, roll number and photo
- Date of birth, category and gender
- Exam date, shift and reporting time
- Centre name and full address
- Which paper you applied for
- Instructions at the bottom

What You Must Carry to the Exam Centre
Only the admit card is not enough. Take these things:
- Printed admit card
- One original photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport or Driving Licence name should match exactly)
- Blue or black ballpoint pen (take an extra one)
- One passport-size photo same as the one you uploaded
- PwD certificate if you have claimed disability benefit
Phone or digital copy of the admit card is not allowed.
Things You Cannot Carry Inside and Some Useful Rules
Do not take these items they will not allow you inside:
- Mobile phone, calculator, smart watch
- Any notes, books or paper except the admit card
- Big bags or heavy jewellery
Other tips for smooth entry:
- Wear simple clothes so checking is quick.
- Plan your travel early (you already got the city slip).
- Fill the OMR sheet only with pen and read instructions carefully.
If You Forgot Your Application Number
No worry. Do this:
- Go to the login page.
- Click “Forgot Application Number”.
- Fill your name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth exactly as in the form.
- You will get the number on your email or phone.
If the website is not opening, wait a few minutes, clear browser history or try another browser.
